Sub : INFORMATION FROM EMBASSIES OF INDIA/ HIGH COMMISSIONS OF INDIA

1. I had written letters to all the Embassies of India/High Commissions of India abroad informing them about the EPCES. I had requested our Embassies/High Commissions to include EPCES in their mailing list and to forward Trade information to the Council. I have received Commercial and Economic Report from our Embassy of India, Copenhagen, Denmark. A copy of this Report is forwarded alongwith for your information. This Report gives detailed information of India's exports to Denmark. The Report mentions 97 items which are exported from India to Denmark. Value of export of these items in July 2002 and July 2003 is also indicated. This Report also infoms that APM Terminals is planning to invest Rs. 10 billion in the Gujarat Pipavav Port in India.

2. I am also enclosing a letter from Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan This letters has been received by Mrs Malini V. Shankar, Development Commissioner MEPZ Special Economic Zone. This letter indicates the names of various projects in Kazakhstan which are open for participation. Kazakhstan has adopted a strategy of Industrial and Innovation Development of Kazakhstan for the period 2003-2015. The Embassy has forwarded a list of investment projects within the framework of these strategies. This list provides the names of entrepreneur, name of project, amount of investment.
