Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZ Units has requested
the Ministry of Power, Government of India to carve out
certain quantity of megawatt of power from the NTPC (the
prime generating agency) for 100% EOUs and SEZ Units separately
all over the country at a nominal actual average rate
of power subject to levying of surcharge/wheeling charges.
The rate of power for each EOU/SEZ Unit should depend
on the power generating point from where NTPC will distribute
the power through individual existing transmission lines
of each unit.
EPCES also intends to take a delegation and meet senior
officers of Ministry of Power and submit its detailed
representation. I request you to kindly send your suggestions
to the Council latest by Tuesday, April 27, 2004 for inclusion
in the representation.
