Sub: 1) Second annual International Trade Expo to be held from October 10 to 12, 2004 in Kingston.

2) India-Bangladesh Handicraft and Lifestyle Products Exhibition to be held in Dhaka from October 11 - 13, 2004 at Hotel Dhaka Sheraton


(1) The Indian High Commission in Jamaica has informed about the second annual International Trade Expo from October 10 to 12, 2004 in Kingston. The Expo would be attended by prominent businessmen of Jamaica.

The Indian High Commission has suggested that interested exporters may send their catalogues/exhibits along with price list directly to the High Commission (under intimation to EPCES) so that they can take this opportunity to display in the above Expo.

Jamaica as you know, is the largest English speaking country in the Caribbean (West Indies). Most of its imports requirements includes consumer goods, machinery, spare parts, pharmaceuticals, readymade garments, stationery, hardware items, cables, electrical fittings, chemicals, etc.

Keeping in view the vast potential in this market, it is suggested that you may send your company's details along with business interest as mentioned above to the Indian High Commission in Jamaica. Their contact details are as follows:

(2) Another important event is India-Bangladesh Handicraft and Lifestyle Products Exhibition which is being organized in Dhaka from October 11 - 13, 2004 at Hotel Dhaka Sheraton. The focus of exhibition would be mainly handicrafts made from various materials, decorative items, clothes, jewellery, lifestyle products, hand-made paper and its products, leather products (bags and footwear) with embroidery work, creative and contemporary art both of upcoming and renowned artists etc. The participation charges for the exhibition is Rs. 40,000/- per stall consisting of the following (limited number of non A/C stalls of smaller size at cheaper rates may also be considered):

A pre-fabricated stall l of size 8 ft x 8 ft, one table, two chairs, two fluorescent lights, one plug point and one dustbin for three days.
