Participation in Exhibition on Indian Products & Services
at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre at Sydney
Australia from 5th to 8th November, 2004.
I have pleasure to inform you that MDA Committee
of Ministry of Commerce at its meeting held on 23.9.04 has
approved the following activities of the Council for participation
in trade fairs/exhibitions/buyer-seller meets abroad upto
March 2005:
i. Exhibition on Indian Products & Services
at Sydney, Australia from 5th to 8th November, 2005
ii. Buyer-Seller-Meets in Kazakhastan, Ukraine
& Uzbekistan in January, 2005.
iii. Orient Expo, Paris, France from 17th
to 19th February, 2005.
iv. Buyer-Seller-Meets in Chile, Brazil
and Mexico from 14th to 22nd March, 2005.
EPCES is organizing participation in Exhibition
on Indian Products & Services at Sydney Convention &
Exhibition Centre at Sydney Australia from 5th to
8th November, 2004.
This multi-products exhibition is being
organized by UP Industrial Consultants Ltd. (A joint venture
of Government of Uttar Pradesh, IDBI, ICICI and Banks) in
association with Consulate General of India at Australia,
UP Trade Promotion Authority and Export Promotion Bureau,
Government of Uttar Pradesh. The major exports from India
to Australia are Indian Silk & other High Fashion Garments
and Home Furnishing, Wooden Handicrafts, Brassware/Silver
Artware Handicrafts & Cutlery, Cricket Gears & Accessories,
Rugby, Soccer, Cricket Shoes & all kinds of sports items,
Physical Equipments, Sports wear T-shirts & Athletic
items, Leather Tanning & Leather Products, Machinery,
Automobile Components, Glass Artware.
The package cost of participating in the
exhibition is Rs.2.60 lakhs only, which includes the cost
of 9 sq.mtrs furnished air-conditioned space for display
of the material, 6/7 days stay in 3 star hotel including
breakfast, lunch, dinner and also local transportation between
hotel & exhibition centre and economy class To &
Fro air-fare for one person including cost of visa processing
fee and airport taxes etc. The break-up of cost is as under:
1. Air-conditioned space 9 sq.mtrs. @ Rs.15,000
Rs.1,35,000 per sq.mtrs.
2. Air-fare Delhi-Sydney-Delhi Rs. 45,000
including airport taxes and visa processing
fee
3. Boarding and Lodging for 6/7 days in
3 Star Rs. 50,000 hotel on single
occupancy basis.
4. Transportation of Exhibition goods upto
150 kgs Rs. 10,000 Delhi-Sydney-Delhi
(by air)
5. Local Transportation between hotel &
exhibition centre Rs. 10,000 and half-day
sight seeing
6. Misc. handling expenses Rs. 10,000

Total: Rs.2,60,000
During the exhibition, half-day seminar
and half-day buyer-seller meets has also been organized
so that the units can directly inter-act with foreign buyers.
EOUs and SEZ Units are eligible for MDA
grant through our Council for participation in EPCES activities
subject to turnover upto Rs.5 crore as under:,
- Rs.60,000 towards travel and
- Rs.50,000 towards stall charges
Rs.1,10,000 Total
In case, your turnover is above Rs.5 crore
then in that case Rs.75,000 will be reimbursed by UP Industrial
Consultants Ltd. as under provided your unit is in Uttar
Pradesh and submission of SSI Registration Certificate,
Membership of EPCES or EPB Registration, if any, Balance
sheets of last 3 years of the company, income tax return
of company of last 3 years and latest photocopy of bank
statement for last six months of company.
- Rs.60,000/- on space or 60% whichever
is less and
- Rs.15,000/- fixed on air fare
Rs.75,000 Total
In view of the facts stated above, you can
avail this opportunity of participation in the exhibition
and take advantage of the financial assistance provided
by the Government. As you are aware, Australia is fast emerging
as a good market for Indian products.
Please confirm your participation latest
by Monday, October 4, 2004 and send the enclosed Registration
Form, duly filled and signed along with a payment of Rs.2,60,000/-
by way of cheque/demand draft/pay order in favour of Export
Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZ Units payable at New
