Sub : SHRI KAMAL NATH, HON’BLE MINISTER FOR COMMERCE & INDUSTRY INTRODUCES SEZ BILL IN LOK SABHA TODAY.

Please refer to my EPCES Circular No.44 dated 5.5.2005 wherein I had informed that SEZ Bill has been cleared by the Cabinet. I am happy to inform you further that Shri Kamal Nath, Hon’ble Minister for Commerce & Industry has introduced SEZ Bill in Lok Sabha today. The Bill is likely to be taken up for discussion tomorrow. If Lok Sabha clears the Bill tomorrow then SEZ Bill is likely to be introduced in Rajya Sabha in this Session of Parliament itself and in case we are lucky enough, we may have SEZ Act before 13th of May, 2005.
